About Us

Cycline3 Cycline3 was created in the fall of 1996 by Sean Rose and has since enlightened millions of people. Cycline3 = Sean Rose.

Early 0s and 1s

In 1996, I started with SCD for Windows — a shape-shifting, eye-candy laden state-of-the-art media player. SCD plays CDs, MP3s and video and enhances your enjoyment of your computer when it cranks out cool visual effects to the music. It's still cool software, but when AOL bought WINAMP for $100 million and Apple released iTunes, the big boys officially took the media player market back from smaller developers like me.

SCD did impressive things back when people didn't know you could. After all this wasn't long after the release of Windows 95. So even though music players went corporate, I am still very proud of the work I did on SCD.

1997 rolled around and I released Jesse6 — one of the web's most popular HTML editors before the rise of Adobe Dreamweaver and Macromedia GoLive. While WYSIWYG editing is the choice of most professional designers these days, including us, Jesse6 still has a strong following in the education market. It's a great tool for learning HTML.

So here I am having had millions of copies of SCD and Jesse6 distributed around the world via magazines and freeware/shareware CD-ROMs in the United States and Europe, direct marketing and the Cycline3 website. Which was pretty cool. I let Cycline3 software be licensed at no cost as OEM equipment on machines in third world countries like Mexico where it helped lower the cost of ownership of new computers.

In January, 1999 I released Auction Listing Creator for Mac and Windows. CALC is hands down one of the most successful listing creators for eBay and other auction sites. CALC was the first auction program for Apple's Mac OS X and was/is still very popular. I am happy to have helped thousands of people master HTML for eBay with mouse point and click ease. Money I made from CALC helped me through college... so thanks everyone for that.

What Sean is Doing Now

I haven't even touched on the fact that I've been building Vacuum Tube Amps, selling Model Rocket Kits and doing design and photography the entire time as well! Cycline3 has been my digital outlet for lots of things. So in the 2000's, I graduated college twice focusing on computer programming and design. That was very cool. So much work finally paying off. Great feeling. So, after that I ran Cycline3 and did freelance graphic design quite successfully for a few years. In an effort to expand my skillset even further, I joined a great media company, Dream Catcher Creative, and have been doing design, programming and photography there. It's a great team, if you need anything we do, you'll be hard pressed to find a better group to work with.

So, as you can see, I do all kinds of crazy kit. It's fun and I plan to keep on doing it. If you want to learn a little more, then head on over to www.seanrose.com and read some more there. There's even bad punk rock and newwave hair pics of me from high school. You will have to find those on your own though!
